Christmas Blue Norther

This morning, two days after Christmas, a blue norther rolled across Dallas.

 For those who don't know, a blue norther is when cold air pushes down the great plains. Temperatures can drop dramatically in minutes. This happens in many places, but in Texas, we call it a blue norther.

So I began thinking what music makes me feel joy, because, ya know, I could use more blood flow.

High Noon, Toddler Style

Recently, my wife and I took care of our nephew Monster, while his mother and father went off on a much needed weekend get-away.

You should know that Monster is a really cool kid, but he is nearly three-years old and is doing his dead level best to make a guest appearance in a "Feed the Children" TV commercial. Getting Monster to eat anything requires a mixture of cajoling, pleading, begging, bargaining and threats.
